Dating back to 1909, Isigny Sainte-Mère is an independent dairy cooperative from Normandy, France. It comprises 650 dedicated farmers and boasts an impressive array of world-renowned pastry butter, table butter, crème fraiche, and cheeses.
The unique clay soil of the Isigny region, enriched by historical wetlands, ensures lush green grass, resulting in exceptionally fine milk. This distinct terroir, coupled with centuries-old traditions, has cemented the region’s reputation for unparalleled dairy quality.
Recognising the importance of sustainability, Isigny Sainte-Mère has long been at the forefront of eco-friendly initiatives. In 2008, they installed a pioneering 15MW woodchip-fuelled biomass boiler, a first in the French food industry. In 2009, in recognition of their environmental management system, they achieved ISO 14001 certification and in 2017 earned the ISO 50001 certification for energy management. In 2022, they introduced compostable, wax paper packaging for butter portions.
Reaffirming their prominent role in dairy, their accolades tell its own story making Isigny Sainte-Mère the most decorated dairy company in France winning over 350 medals in various esteemed competitions.
Driven by core values of tradition, origin, excellence, savoir-faire, and terroir, Isigny Sainte-Mère ensures consistent product quality, making them a preferred choice for bakeries, restaurants, and hotels.
