This is a mix of carrageen and carob bean gum. which is of vegetable origin.   It is transparent and elastic gelatine which is  a gelling agent which works with any kind of liquid with water content higher than 80%. Dissolve in cold and bring to 65C (better to boil), it jellifies from 60C onwards.
